Your Paletta arrives ready to use. Each unit includes the main body with integrated magnets, your choice of interior lining, and a microfiber cleaning cloth. Custom laser engravings are applied before shipping.

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The resin coating protects against spills, but avoid prolonged submersion. The oil finish may be refreshed annually with food-safe mineral oil if desired.

We love our iPads, but even with a typical iPad case, they sacrifice human usability for ultra-minimalism. We envisioned an easy, sketchpad experience that could be used anywhere, in any position, while keeping the iPad secure. We wanted to hold our iPad confidently, in a way that conformed to our natural movements without forcing us to adapt to it. We wanted to see more of the screen, and smudge it less. And we called our case/platform/stand a "Paletta", because it extended the strengths of the iPad we already loved - literally beyond its edges - into a beautiful, fiercely practical, digital palette for the modern world.

The first Paletta was crafted from hand-cut layers of local plywood and paint. It wasn't beautiful, but it satisfied the core goal of enhancing the iPad's utility.

Today, Paletta is made out of the same durable materials used for lab countertops. It is biomechanically-optimized, computer-machined, and hand-finished, to be stylish and durable.

Q: How do I know if my iPad is compatible with a Paletta®?
A: Find your iPad model by opening your iPad --> Setting --> General --> About --> Model Name. If your iPad model does not match the compatibility list, please contact us to see if we can accommodate you!

Q: How does my Paletta® hold my iPad?
A: We engineered a method to integrate industrial strength magnets inside of each Paletta to precisely line-up with the magnets inside of modern iPad tablets.

Q: Do all these magnets interfere with my iPad electronics?
A: No, because the magnets are very small (less than 1/4" or 6 mm) and only form a magnetic attraction to magnets already existing in the iPad.

Q: Do I need to take my iPad out of my current iPad case to use Paletta®?
A: Yes, we designed Paletta® so that your iPad screen sits flush and is firmly secure, so you can not leave a case or skin on your iPad. Once inside the Paletta®, the magnetic hold is strong enough to hold the iPad upside down. The iPad can be removed from the Paletta easily with a firm pull.
